Alumni

Since 1866, Incarnate Word Academy has been granting graduation diplomas to students who completed the graduation requirements. Your graduation diploma officially makes you an alumna or alumnus of Incarnate Word Academy. This, however, is not the core of what makes alumni. An alumna or alumnus is one who feels a special tie with a school because they were part of it.

Today, Incarnate Word Academy is home to a number of different alumni.

  • IWA remembers graduates of Incarnate Word Academy from 1866 to 1925.
  • IWA is home to the Villa Maria alumni who graduated from 1926 to 1992.
  • IWA is home to the Villa Maria alumni who attended Villa Maria High School but were unable to graduate because the high school closed in 1992.
  • IWA is home to eighth grade graduates of Incarnate Word Academy since 1992.
  • IWA is home to students who attended Incarnate Word Elementary or Villa Maria Jr. High and graduated from a different high school.

Incarnate Word Academy welcomes all of you. Join us for any of the alumni events including:

  • Class reunions
  • The annual Fall Fest in October on school grounds
  • A Little Bit of Mexico in February on the Sunday before Charro Days
  • The Heritage Run in March
  • The Fishing Tournament in May
  • Other IWA events to which we invite alumni
